Seasonal Sourcing Guide

Wholesale Crochet Christmas Ordering Timeline

Seasonal handmade products need more planning than ready-stock goods. Work backward from your warehouse delivery date and include approval time at every stage.

Concept and Range Planning

Choose the number of designs, target price points, color story and packaging format. Coordinated sets should be planned together so samples can be reviewed as a collection.

Sampling and Revision

Allow time for the first sample, buyer feedback and any revised sample. Custom characters and gift boxes normally require more approval steps than color changes to an existing design.

Bulk Production

Production capacity becomes tighter as the holiday season approaches. Confirm quantities only after approving yarn, dimensions, details and packaging. Avoid making design changes after production starts.

Inspection and Packaging

Schedule checks for dimensions, color, loose threads, accessories, labels and carton packing. Gift sets need an additional check to confirm every component is present.

Freight and Delivery Buffer

Compare express, air and sea freight based on cost and deadline. Add a buffer for customs, warehouse receiving and retailer distribution rather than planning around the final shelf date.
